Currently working as a Principal Engineering Manager at Microsoft, he is responsible for driving Bing search areas across various domains such as User feedback, Local Business Search, and Tech help areas to provide users with differentiated experiences. Karthik has a wide range of technical expertise in areas such as Large Scale Big-Data platforms, AI/ML systems, Mobile & Web-based applications, Networking Protocols, Linux Systems, and Kernel Programming. Before joining Microsoft, Karthik worked as a Member of Technical Staff at AMD, where he was responsible for developing Linux Device Drivers for AMD's performance tools. He also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at ECI Telecom, where he extended the infrastructure for 9600 series for new types of line cards to support CES based services. He was involved in the design and development of High Availability feature for the 9600 Services. Karthik holds an M.Tech in Computer Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a B.E in Electrical Engineering from M.V.S.R Engineering College.
